In a interview done by Sigma Canada with Sigma’s CEO Kazuto Yamaki, Kazuto Yamaki said again that they will making Sigma lenses for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and FE mount mirrorless cameras. He didn’t say anything about whether new Sigma FE lenses will have new designs or same old design as Canon/Nikon mount lenses.

Now the rumours of Sigma making lenses for Sony FE mount have been around a couple of years now. As far as I have heard the rumours started in 2016 but now there’s even more chatter going around.
The CP+ Show 2018 is coming, it will be in Japan on March 1 to March 4. What can we expected from Sony at this CP+ Show ? Here is a list of new Sony cameras & lenses could be announced at CP+ Show.
- Sony new camera code name “WW541200“, will be announced before CP+ Show. This camera could be Sony a7 III, Sony a7S III, Sony a6700, RX100 VI or a77 III.
- New Zeiss Loixa 25mm f/2.4 Lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras
- Sigma FE lenses for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras
- Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DC DN Lens for Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras
For now we will just have to wait an see what Sony will announce…
